Dunedin Claim National 'A' Grade Title.
20 September 2008
In a strong showing at the Club Nationals in Christchurch the Dunedin SP8s team beat all-comers to sieze the 'A' Grade title. Three other Dunedin teams played well in their various divisions with the 'B' Grade "Speights Cadets" getting Silver in their competition.

The annual 4-A-Side competition will be held on Saturday 18th July 2009.

The After Party
The Fancy Dress after party will be held at the Hot Rod Club hall starting at 7pm. The theme is Politically Incorrect. You can interpret that however you like, nothing is too extreme. You will need to BYO drink and food. There will be lots of games to play and prizes to win - make sure you bring a pocketful of gold coins.

South Island Champs 2008
Dunedin brings home the gold and silver. Dunedin had a very strong showing in the South Island Champs at the weekend with Speight's Gold bringing home the 'A' grade trophy, the 'B' grade Highlanders the silver in their division and 'Dunedin C' grabbing a magnificent first place. The AGM will be held tonight at The Southern at 7:30 pm. If you want to have a say (or even find out) about how the club is run then you need to be there.

The South Island Championships are being held in Christchurch on the 17th of May. We hope to send 4 teams ('A' Grade, 'B' Grade, 'C' Grade and Open Womens'. If you are interested in going, and you should be because it is heaps of fun, you need to see Bevan ASAP.
UWH World Champs - Final Results
The UWH World Championships were held in Durban, S.A. 25th April - 3 March 2008. New Zealand was well represented with teams in the Mens' and Womens' Under-19 and Open grades..The Dunedin club is also well represented with Sabrina Quarente, Jessica Lowther, Lizzie Mckenzie and Claire George in the Open Womens' team and Alex Welch and David Cassie in the Under-19's Mens' team.

- Men's Open lost 1-2 to France in their final.
- Women's Open lost 1-3 to Netherlands in the 3rd/4th place match.
- Open U19 lost 1-3 to Spain in their final
- Women's U19 WON 8-0 against Columbia in their final.

The NZ Open Elite team will play South Africa tonight (NZ time) for a place in the final! France and Austrilia are contesting the other final's position.
In the Women's Elite competition NZ are playing Austrilia for a place in the final and South Africa are playing the Netherlands for the other spot.

A fter 9 games the NZ Open team are third on the table behind Australia and South Africa and after 8 games the Womens' Elite team are in sixth place. The U19 Women have soundly beaten all-commers and are a clear first in their class; the U19 Open team are doing it hard and after playing every team at least once lie second on thier table.
